Thousands Left Without Power During Berlin's Blackout

On January 3, 2026, a blackout on the outskirts of Berlin left nearly 100,000 Berliners without power. The outage was caused by an arson attack committed by a far-left extremist group at Lichterfelde Heating and Power Station. Five neighborhoods were effected by the outage for roughly four days.
